Privacy and Confidentiality Statement:

In accordance with my commitment to the counseling profession, all consultations and communications are confidential and private. Your personal information is not shared with anyone. In addition, Careers by Choice does not use online payment methods, further safeguarding your privacy and security.

Clients may request to have family members participate in sessions or receive information regarding the counseling process. If so, they understand that through their own choice, a certain amount of confidentiality is lost. In addition, clients may choose to sign a privacy waiver if they wish me to share information with legitimate third parties (therapists or counselors).

Confidentiality in the counseling profession has one exception. It does not apply when disclosure is necessary to prevent "clear and imminent danger." Examples of this include individuals who express an intention to harm themselves or others.
