Prior to starting her private practice, M J worked as a career counselor at Long Island University/C.W. Post Campus and at Adelphi University. Additional background includes work in human resource management with Pfizer, Inc., the world's largest pharmaceutical company. In that venue, M J was integrally involved in evaluating candidates for sales, finance, marketing, and technical positions. M J now utilizes that expertise to help her clients get hired.

M J is the author of a published book on job search (The Job Search Organizer) as well as a contributing expert to ten other job search/resume writing books. Her comments addressing career and employment topics been sought and captured in several newspaper articles (Newsday and others). M J has been honored as the keynote speaker conducting a presentation at Marymount College to a group of over 100 other career counselors where she shared her expertise on career assessment. Numerous other presentations on resume writing, interviewing skills, career decision making, and job search strategies to both public and professional audiences are also to her credit.
